Prof. Liora Katzenstein
ISEMI - Founder & President

Prof. Katzenstein's education spans business, law, psychology, and economics. She obtained her academic degrees in the United States - an MALD in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University, Boston and a Visiting Doctoral Scholarship at the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration-, and in Switzerland - a Ph.D. in International Economics from the Graduate Institute of International Studies at the University of Geneva. Since then she has managed effectively to divide her time and energy between the worlds of business and academe.

 

Prof. Michael Epstein
ISEMI - Academic Director

With a strong background in sciences including a B.Sc. in Chemistry, an M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry, a Ph.D. from the Weizman Institute in Biochemistry, and a post doctorate fellowship at Cornell University, Dr. Mike Epstein decided to augment his training with a formal education in entrepreneurship. He came to study at ISEMI and was granted a Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Since garnering his degree, Dr. Epstein has deepened his involvement with the institution and now acts as the Program Director of the master degree studies as well as a lecturer on a number of topics.

Dr. Alon Adler

Dr.  Adler has extensive experience in high-tech ventures.
He serves as  CEO and Majority Shareholder of Knorr Capital Partner (Israel) Ltd, the Israeli Subsidiary of Knorr Capital Partner A.G, Germany

He also serves as the owner of High-Tech Business-Links GmbH in
Germany
.
Dr Adler brings with him  20 Years experience as CEO of High-Tech Companies in Information Technology; successful establishing of Sales and Distribution Channels and of New Entities Internationally, as well as considerable  experience in evaluation of Startup and in the Investment Business.

Dr Adler holds the following degrees; Doctor of Sciences,  from the  Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology, Diplom-Ingenieur, from Technische Universitaet Muenchen  (Summa Cum Laude), 
Diplom-Wirtschafts-Ingenieur, from the  Technische Universitaet Muenchen.

Dr Adler has been lecturing at the Technion, Tel-Aviv University and ISEMI.

Eyal Benjamin
Serial Entreprenuer

Eyal Benjamin is yet another natural entrepreneur.  He has founded three companies, Kito Marcom, Ltd, a technological education company, Freenet Communications, Ltd., an ISP and Lantellect, a business warehousing software company. Eyal also sureved  as the VP of Marketing and Business Development for a Venture Capital Fund.
Eyal graduated from Tel  Aviv  University with a degree in Engineering,  has completed one year of MBA studies at Bar-Ilan university, holds a Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Swinbourne university of technology (Melbourne, Australia) where he is currently studying towards his PhD.
 

Sam Burshtein 
Entrepreneur, Venture Capitalist, Lecturer

Sam Burshtein has almost two decades of professional and academic experience in strategy and management of innovation world wide. Having started his career in software R&D, he later worked in technology marketing, strategy consulting with The Boston Consulting Group, financial and investment advisory, and venture capital management with Carmel Ventures, a leading venture fund. His entrepreneurial experience includes having founded and developed several businesses and as an advisor to the founders of a number of successful biotechnology and information technology companies. Sam received a B.Bus in Finance from UTS with the University Medal, and holds an MBA in Strategy & Entrepreneurship from the Kellogg School and an M.Sc in Bioinformatics from The University of Sydney. Presently he is a Senior Lecturer in Innovation at Macquarie University’s newly established Macquarie Institute for Innovation.
 

Dr. Reto Callegari

Dr Reto Callegari is Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of ADVAL CIC (S) PTE, Ltd., a successful financial institution in Singapore, where he functions as an Angel Investor in a wide array of companies. Hailing from Switzerland and with an impressive resume of Banking Activities, Dr. Callegari, already quite an expert in Asian enterprises, decided to make that area of the world his home.
Dr. Callegari worked at Credit Suisse in Europe and Asia, and filled positions of a member of the management team in directing expansion into Asia, serving on the board of ECOTEC, the Euro-China Organization for Technical and Economic Co-operation and holding the positions of Head of Private, Institutional Banking and Trading and Head of the International Department for Corporate Trade and Finance. He also served as Member of the Executive Committee, Chairman of Credit Suisse Investment Consulting Ltd. in
Taiwan
and as Member of the Executive Board and CEO in Asia Pacific. Prior to his work at the bank, Dr Callegari served on the National Research Council of Thailand as a Foreign Researcher.
Today, at ADVAL in
Singapore
, Dr. Callegari directs investments in new ventures and offers consulting/management services for start-up companies and investors. He acts as an investment advisor and as a member of various Boards of Directors.

Professor Murray Gilin, AO
Entrepreneurship Educator, Inventor, Former Pro Vice Chancellor

Murray Gillin's professional career has covered a broad spectrum beginning as an engineer with the Australian Defence Industry with subsequent appointments to positions of Research Scientist with the Defence Science & Technology Organisation, Defence Research Attaché at the Australian Embassy in Washington, USA, Senior Principal Research Scientist in Defence Science, Canberra. In 1979 he was appointed Dean of Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. As Dean of Engineering he developed the Engineering Faculty into Australia's largest and most successful compulsory work-integrated-learning program and in 1989 he formed the School of Innovation and Enterprise. In January 1994 he was appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor of Swinburne University of Technology.
The programs within the Graduate School of Entrepreneurship are recognised as world leaders in the development of relevant entrepreneurial education and have been offered in Singapore, New Zealand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
In 1997 Prof. Gillin was awarded the "Order of Australia" by the Australian Government and in 2001 he was nominated as "The Entrepreneurship Educator of The Year".

Mr Bill Jarrard

Mr. Bill Jarrard is the Chief Imagineer of Mindwerx International P/L. He is an experienced consultant. With more than twenty five years exposure to a variety of industries in Canada, the UK, and Australia, he is able to advise in Organizational Change, Continuous Improvement, Deliberate Creative Thinking and Strategies for Innovation. Bill has held senior executive roles in Human Resources, Finance, Facilities Management, Security, and Computer Operations.
Prior to forming his own company in 1991, he was a member of the senior executive team of an Information Technology unit with 1800 people.
Since then he has worked with a wide variety of large and small clients on major improvement activities that have reaped significant benefits, including one Australian Quality Award winner and two Defense Quality Award winners.
Bill holds an MEI degree from SUT and is one of only a handful of people in Australia accredited by the de Bono Institute. He is a certified Quality Management Consultant with quality society of Australia, and is a certified Management consultant with the institute of Management consultants.

Prof. Richard Linowes

Prof. Linowes, today a full professor at the Kogod School of Business at the American University in Washington DC as well as a visiting professor to the Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management at the University of Warsaw, ISEMI and the University of Jordan.
Richard received his doctorate in business management from the Harvard Business School. 
A veteran of Goldman Sachs and Company, Arthur Andersen and personal consultant to businesses as diverse as Glaxo, Coopers and Lybrand, Baltimore Sun, the Russian Parliament and small business owners as well as the United States' National Institute of Standards and Technology, Prof. Linowes, has accumulated a wealth of management experience to share with his students.
Prof. Linowes research interests lie in the areas of global strategic thinking, building leaders for a global economy, innovative approaches to empowering people with regard to management, quality management and organizational design. 
He has written and refereed papers on a multitude of business and management topics and has presented lectures to many prestigious audiences around the globe. Prof. Linowes is listed in many biographical directories including, "International Who's Who of Intellectuals" "International Who's Who of Professionals" "Who's Who Registry of Global Business Leaders" "Who's Who in Finance and Industry" and "Who's Who in American Education". During his career, he has garnered a number of prestigious awards including a Fulbright Research Award, Outstanding Faculty Member award and Curriculum Development Award.

Oskar Alexander Miller

Mr. Miller is the  Founder of COM Internationalâ Training & Consulting, providing Consulting, Coaching and Training services in:  Quality Management,  Leadership,  Communication, Change Management.
He surved as the   HR-Manager of  TCG Unitech AG (automotive, aluminium and magnesium die-cast parts), as well as a Manager for the  „TÜV Nord Akademie“ in 
Munich, and the CEO "Management Institut der Industrie" (MDI), Germany

Mr. Miler has a degree in political science and speech comunication from the

Joseph Ganitsky

Prof. Ganitsky bring with him More than 30 years of experience in the academic and business worlds, in leading positions (including CEO of a family-owned group of firms and founding Dean of the Business School at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia).  He holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de los Andes, Bogota; a Masters of Science in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology; and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard University.
 

Currently, he is Research Professor at the Business School of University of Miami.  For 15 years he was Professors and Chair of the International Business are at Loyola University New Orleans.  He has designed and directed Executive Development Programs, advised executive on Strategic and Entrepreneurial matters, and taught Marketing, Strategy and Global Business courses to professionals in the Americas, Europe, Israel and China.

He has served in numerous Boards and leading positions in the public, private and academic sectors, including President of BALAS (Business Association or Latin American Studies).  Additionally, he has been the Project Director of seven applied research grants, and has written more than 100 cases 30 articles (published in leading journals) and 10 monographs.  His specialties are in Global Strategic Planning, Auditing, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing.

  

Dr. Detlef Reis

Dr. Detlef Reis is the Founding Director and Chief Ideator of THINKERGY Limited (www.thinkergy.com , specializing on providing training, coaching and ideation services in the areas of Business Creativity and Innovation, Strategy Innovation and Management Thinking Skills with offices in Hong Kong and Bangkok. His personal philosophy is best described by a quote of George Bernard Shaw: “You see things and say 'Why?'; but I dream things that never were and I say 'Why not?'"

Dr. D is  a Lecturer for Business Creativity and Innovation Leadership at the College of Management, Mahidol University in Bangkok. He is also a regular visiting lecturer at the Hong Kong Baptist University, the Helsinki School for Creative Entrepreneurship, and Cranfield University in the UK. Over the last 3 years, Dr. D has delivered lectures and workshops to participants from over 50 countries and all five continents. The client list of THINKERGY and Dr. D covers international organizations as UBS, Merck, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Nestlé, Beiersdorf, and the United Nations.

Dr. D looks back on a business career of more than 16 years with Deutsche Bank in Germany, Vietnam, the Philippines and Hong Kong, where he held a position of Vice President and Regional Relationship Manager in the Global Banking Division before reconnecting with his academic roots in 2004 and starting his own venture in 2005. 

Dr. D graduated with a doctorate in international management from Saarbrücken University in Germany in 1998. He published a book in German, “Financial Management in International Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises”. Dr. D regularly contributes articles on Business Creativity for the Bangkok Post and the monthly magazine “XL - Extraordinary Lives”, a globally distributed Entrepreneurship Magazine.
